Lucky

Lyla, yesterday I took a moment to tell you how lucky I am. I told you , while giving you a hug in gas station parking lot in New York, I am lucky because I have the best kid in the world (which is true by the way). You pulled away and looked right at me and said, "All Dads think that." You're 5 Lyla, how are you so amazingly perceptive? Sadly, I was able to tell you truthfully that, no, not all Dads think that. They should, but they don't. You gave me another smile and then tore off across the parking lot to "get some energy out!" (we were driving back from Acadia). You really are an amazing girl and I really do have the best kid in the world.
