Soccer

Lyla, you started playing soccer about two years ago. Many of the kids on your first team had been playing together for a couple years already. You start going to a soccer "camp" on Friday afternoons at River's Edge a few months ago and we just finished the first season that you've had after going to River's Edge. Your Mama and I have really enjoyed watching you. Your ball handling skills have improved so much! You scored 6 goals this season, even having missed two games! The last game was yesterday and it was awesome to see you just steal the ball from one of the other team's players and then confidently dribble down the field. You'd go around other players (amazing ball handling skills!) and then go to the goal and shoot. You'd score a goal and then nonchalantly walk back like, "eh, big deal." But, then, once, you turned to look at us and flashed three fingers for your three goals, with a big grin :) I think my favorite part, though, might have been when you freaking plowed into the goalie as you went for a goal. We've been watching the USA team play games at night together and you've definitely seen them make that move. You're awesome.
