Dearest Lyla,
Today we learned my Grandmother (your G'nana) died. I loved her very much and I am ever so glad you two met. I spent many summers with Grandma Carle. I always knew she loved me, no matter the situation. I'm sorry you will not get the chance to know her well. I do know she loved you very much. As do I. I hope you live a long and happy life, like your G'nana did.
